Exploring the impact of big data analytics capabilities on business model innovation: The mediating role of entrepreneurial orientation

Big Data Analytics Capabilities (BDAC) represent critical tools for business competitiveness in highly dynamic markets. In this connection, by leveraging on the Dynamic View (DCV) study analyses relationship between BDAC and Business Model Innovation (BMI). It argues that impact of (a lower-order capability) BMI is mediated Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO; a higher-order capability). The proposed model assessed PLS-SEM (symmetric) fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (asymmetric) methods using survey data from 253 UK firms. Our findings demonstrate have both direct indirect positive effects BMI, with latter being EO. These results enrich innovation management literature (BD) showing influence company strategic logics objectives, rather than depending them, thus playing significant role creating value companies their stakeholders.
